Located in the heart of Corning, Iowa, Auriginal Designs is more than just a salon—it's a beauty collective with a refreshing mission. Led by Aurilla Jennings, an expert with over 15 years of experience, this space is a true retreat for salon professionals pursuing the freedom of entrepreneurship without the burden of owning their own storefront. Through a blend of creativity and collaboration, Auriginal Designs fosters a close-knit, supportive community where independent artists come together to uplift one another and serve the community of Corning.

I recently had the pleasure of capturing the essence of this unique collective in a brand shoot. This session was all about showcasing the welcoming, vibrant atmosphere that Aurilla has created. Every detail in the space—from the warm, inviting decor to the stylish stations where each artist works—reflects Aurilla's dedication to supporting independent stylists. Her motto, “Custom - Creative - Collective,” truly shines through the thoughtful design and energy of the salon.

Another key feature of Auriginal Designs is the presence of wellness services, and that's where Glenna Brandt comes in. Glenna, a licensed massage therapist since 2017, brings an expertise in wellness that perfectly complements the salon's focus on self-care and beauty. Passionate about helping clients relax, reduce stress, and achieve their wellness goals, Glenna offers a range of massage modalities, tailoring each session to meet her clients’ unique needs. Currently, Glenna is preparing for the arrival of her baby in January, but she’s continuing to take bookings up until her maternity leave. She’ll be back and ready to reconnect with clients on April 1, making the most of this special season of life while ensuring her community has the support they need for their well-being.

Last but not least Natalie Blaine, the newest talent joining Auriginal Designs! Natalie brings a fresh energy and expertise in men’s cuts, Babe hair extensions, hair color, and so much more. Watching her work her magic was inspiring, and I can’t wait to see the incredible transformations she’ll bring to clients here!

The brand shoot beautifully captured Aurilla’s vision of a supportive, stylish space for local creatives, and Glenna’s dedication to helping clients feel their best. Both women embody a commitment to building meaningful relationships and strengthening the Corning community.
