Well, ladies and gents—shooting the Ringgold County Cattlemen’s Banquet, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of legendary. A huge thank you to Keegan Jo Photography for sending me the referral—you're a true rockstar! (Seriously, Keegan, you dah best.)

Now, if you haven’t heard of the Ringgold County Cattlemen, let me break it down for you: they’re a hard-working, beef-loving group of cattlemen and cattlewomen in southern Iowa dedicated to producing high-quality beef and promoting the beef industry.

590 People, 45 Prime Ribs, and 1 Heck of a Night

When you bring together nearly 600 people and prime rib, you know you're in for an evening of epic proportions. And speaking of prime rib... 45 of them. That’s right—45 PRIME RIBS. (If that doesn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will.) We all gathered to celebrate 50 years of Ringgold County Cattlemen’s legacy—and, trust me, this wasn’t just any ordinary anniversary party.

Here’s a quick rundown of what went down:

  • Producers of the Year: Hats off to Randy and Christine Bishop. These two have been making waves in the cattle industry, and their dedication has certainly paid off. Here’s to them!
  • Beef Royalty: Say hello to Aubrey Reed, the new Beef Queen, and Addison Dolittle, the Beef Princess. With these two leading the charge, we’re in for a bright future of beef advocacy—better start practicing your royal wave, ladies!
  • A $800,000 Impact: Over the past four years, the Cattlemen have invested over $800,000 back into the local community. That’s right—$800,000! You thought beef was the only thing they were dishing out? Turns out, they’re also beefing up the community, and that’s something we can all get behind.

The Heart of Ringgold County: Beef, Community, and a Lot of Fun

What really made this event stand out wasn’t just the food or the festivities—it was the heart and soul of the people. Ringgold County is a community that rallies behind each other, whether it’s through the Cattlemen’s Association or just good ol’ hometown pride. They truly know how to throw a party and how to support each other—and this banquet was the perfect example of that spirit.

So, what does it mean to be part of the Ringgold County Cattlemen’s 50th year? It means they’ve come a long way in beefing up not just their industry but their community. They’ve done so much in the past half-century, and I can only imagine the heights they’ll reach in the next 50.

To the Cattlemen, Donors, and Attendees—You Rock

A huge round of applause to everyone who made this night a success—whether you attended, donated, or just enjoyed the prime rib. You’ve made this community and this event something truly special, and I’m proud to have been part of it. Thanks again to Keegan Jo Photography for the referral—this was one experience I’ll never forget. Until next time, keep on steakin’!
