Preston & Cassidy’s Wedding Day
Preston Miller & Cassidy Standley’s day? Somehow it was both. A romantic, playful, heartfelt celebration wrapped in the wide-open skies of Prescott, Iowa, with a whole lot of laughter, love, and a little bit of boot-scootin’. It was a hot, sunny August 15, 2025, the kind of day that makes you grateful for shade, cold drinks, and a DJ who knows how to keep the dance floor moving (big s/o to Faithful nFrequency for keeping the party alive!). The day kicked off at 8:00 sharp with the kind of prep only weddings demand—tying up loose ends, tweaking décor, setting chairs, and making sure every detail was just right. By 9:30, Cassidy and her crew were diving into hair and makeup, while the groomsmen started their day in true guy fashion—meeting at Standley’s and heading over to Miller’s. Somewhere in between, I started capturing all those “in-between” moments Cassidy specifically wanted—mom zipping up her dress, jewelry being clasped, the little candid giggles that you don’t plan for but treasure forever. By early afternoon, Preston & Cassidy were Creston-bound for their first look at the old courthouse—a location as timeless as their vows. It wasn’t just a “turn, smile, kiss” moment. It was vows, laughter the kind of private promises that make you forget anyone else is even watching. The bridal party joined in shortly after, bringing the energy (and the chaos) you’d expect with bridesmaids, groomsmen, and 135 loved ones waiting for their turn in the spotlight.
The timeline was stacked—first look with Dad & Mom, immediate family, extended family, flower girls, ring bearers, cousins, the works. It was the perfect balance of “pose, smile, click” and “okay everyone wrangle the kids.” But that’s what makes wedding galleries so good: a little bit of pretty and a little bit of real. At 6:30 sharp, guests gathered at 3140 210th St, where the ceremony unfolded in front of a backdrop that needed no filter. Romantic, emotional, natural—it was every word Cassidy used to describe her style. The memory stand, the wedding dress display, the vows, the music—it all came together like it was meant to be.
And when Cassidy & Preston said “I do,” it wasn’t just a moment. It was the start of a forever. As the sun dipped low, golden light spilled across the farm. Guests grabbed plates from the buffet, the wedding party made their grand entrance, and the dance floor began to hum. Cake was cut, speeches were made (and laughed through), and then came the dancing. The couple’s first dance was extra special—it was the very routine they’d been practicing together, a memory they told me was one of their favorites. Seeing it come to life in front of their family and friends? Pure magic.
From two-stepping to line dancing, to that one cousin who sneaks in a “Cha Cha Slide,” the night rolled smooth thanks to the Faithful nFrequency crew keeping the beat alive. By 10:00, the couple made their exit, the wedding party still glowing with sweat, laughter, and love. The day was one for the books: heartfelt and genuine, with just enough playful moments to keep everyone smiling.
A hot sunny Iowa day turned into the kind of memory that cools your soul for years to come.
Congratulations Preston & Cassidy—your forever starts here.
