A Whole Lotta Miles, Memories, and Sunshine — Augusta’s Senior Session
We kicked off the day early with Ag. She was calm, easy-going, and so ready to celebrate the season she’s stepping into. After our first location, we took a quick break — as I grabbed a drink at a local coffee shop to edit for a bit while she went to her moms house to get ready for more pictures. Then it was on to her dad’s house. It was a whole lotta traveling, but every mile was worth it — because each place held a piece of her life, her people, and her memories.
The weather couldn’t have been better. Sunny, 82 degrees, and that perfect Iowa glow that makes every image come alive. Between laughs, we talked about her rodeo memories, her favorite moments of high school, and the way she’s balancing being homeschooled with already working toward her associate’s degree. Pretty incredible for a 2026 senior.
Augusta is driven, grounded in her faith, and full of heart. She’s a rodeo competitor who placed #3 in the world at the National High School Finals Rodeo — talk about grit and grace. When she’s not competing, she loves hanging out with her family, playing basketball, and listening to Christian music (Forest Frank, of course). Her favorite verse — Proverbs 31:25, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future” — fits her perfectly.
Her advice to younger students? “Have fun and follow Jesus.” Simple. True. And exactly the kind of wisdom that comes from someone who’s living it out every day. As the sun dipped lower, we wrapped the session at her dad’s house — the kind of spot that feels like home in every photo. Horses in the background, laughter in the air, and one beautiful reminder of how fleeting and special this season really is.
Here’s to you, Ag — for chasing big dreams, loving the simple things, and letting your light shine wherever you go.
