Alright, buckle up! I traveled far and wide for this one—just kidding, I literally ventured one mile from my house. That’s right, folks, no passport required, just a quick jaunt down the road for Glenna and Austin Brandt’s maternity session. But sometimes, the best moments are right in your own backyard. Or in this case, literally in the Brandt family backyard.
Glenna was glowing—And can we talk about Aurilla? This woman worked some kind of magic on Glenna’s hair and makeup that made it look like she was ready for a Vogue cover shoot instead of, you know, roaming around a farm in December. (Seriously, I’m convinced Aurilla has a wand hidden somewhere.)
Now, let's talk about the weather. For December 26th, it was downright spring-like. Warm enough to ditch the heavy coats and actually enjoy the outdoors (shocking, I know). So we strolled around the Brandt farm, where one day, Baby Becklynn Ann Brandt will probably be chasing after kittens or playing in the hay just like her parents did. (Although, I’d give it a solid two years before Becklynn starts insisting she’s too cool for hay bales. Kids, right?)
We jumped on hay bales, threw some poses, and even ventured into the barn to get those perfect shots Glenna had in mind. I love when clients come with ideas, because it’s always a perfect mix of their vision and the magic that happens in the moment. Glenna had it all figured out—her heart and soul were clearly already in "mama mode," and the photos show it.
It’s funny, you know. Sometimes I’m reminded that the biggest adventures don’t have to take you halfway around the world. Sometimes, they’re just a mile away, in a place that’s filled with memories and soon-to-be memories. Baby Becklynn is already set up with two of the best parents around. She’s going to have the kind of love and support every little one deserves.
Here’s to another milestone, another chapter in the making, and a baby girl who’ll probably wonder one day why mom and dad were standing on hay bales for photos. Congratulations, Glenna and Austin, and welcome, Baby Becklynn Ann! Can’t wait to meet you, little one!
