A Farm Family Photo Session Full of Real Life and Real Moments
If your idea of a perfect family session includes cows, horses, dogs, denim, and a little dirt under your boots… you’re in the right place.
This family didn’t need a Pinterest board. They needed their farm. Their days revolve around farming, buggy rides, barn chores, and time with grandparents. The kind of togetherness that doesn’t get scheduled because it’s already built in. Easy-going, close-knit, and happiest outside. So that’s exactly where we stayed. Despite the wind and cold.
Two-year-old Jase arrived with the classic toddler game plan. Observe first. Trust no one. Then, once the vibe checked out, unleash full wild-man energy. He loved his pistol and trying to eye out every wild animal in site.
Seven-year-old Elle? A natural. Confident, camera-ready, and completely at home doing life alongside animals and family. She knows this land, and it shows.
This session was about updating family photos, sure. But more than that, it was about documenting life as it is right now. Muddy. Busy. Loud. Full of laughter. Full of love.
We mixed posed moments with real ones. Soft smiles with belly laughs. Color and black-and-white. Because families aren’t meant to fit into one look. They’re layered. Just like real life.
The best part? Trust. Trust to wander the farm. Trust to let kids be kids. Trust to let animals do their thing. Trust that the best images happen when no one is trying too hard.
Because one day, these boots will be bigger. These kids will be taller. And the farm will still be standing there, holding all the memories.
