From Sweet Feed to Strategy: How a Feed Store Run-In Sparked Something Big
Sometimes the best business connections happen when you least expect them—like, say, when you’re just trying to buy some sweet feed.
That’s exactly how I met Erica, the owner of Feeders Grain and Farm Supply. I roll up, probably in my usual slightly-chaotic-but-charming state, to grab some sweet feed for a couple horses I spontaneously bought, when Erica introduces herself. We start chatting, exchanging stories, and—somewhere between loading feed and swapping numbers—I still had no clue she owned the place. Fast forward, and one day, she calls me up about social media. Next thing you know, we’re deep into a marketing brainstorm session, throwing ideas around like feed in a chicken coop.
Then came the best part—actually putting the ideas into action. That meant a trip to the Lantz farm, which, let me tell you, is a homesteader’s dream. Curly horses? Check. Donkeys? Yep. Pigs, chickens, and basically every barnyard critter you can imagine? You bet. I showed up, camera in one hand and about a million questions in the other, ready to soak up every detail. Getting to know the Lantz family and their incredible setup made me even more excited about working with Feeders Grain and Farm Supply.
This feels like a big turning point for Jade Made LLC—one that blends my love for storytelling, rural life, and the kind of knowledge that makes a difference in people’s day-to-day farm operations. And this first month? It’s been all about MINERAL. Who knew mineral could be so interesting? (Spoiler alert: it totally is.)
So, if you’re into learning about farm life, livestock nutrition, and how the right products can make all the difference, make sure to follow along with Feeders Grain and Farm Supply this month. Big things are happening, and I can’t wait to share more!
Thought Leader,
Jade P.
