Sunshine, Smiles, and a Sweet Soul — Lillie’s Senior Session
She first found me through social media after seeing a shoot I did with Hyatt (proof that word-of-mouth and a little online magic go a long way). From our first messages, I knew this was going to be such a fun day — laid back, full of laughs, and as golden as the late-summer sun.
A Perfect Iowa Day
We met at Lauren’s barn, where the light was bright across the field and the clouds floated across the sky. The forecast couldn’t have been better — sunny, 75°, and the kind of breeze that makes your hair move just right.
Lillie showed up radiant — the kind of gentle confidence that makes every pose effortless, and a smile that could light up every flick. She was pure sweetness with a dash of sass, and I loved every second of photographing her. Between shots, we laughed about how "my parents paying for things" was what she’d miss most about high school — and honestly? Relatable.
Meet Lillie
Homeschooled through Shenandoah High School, Lillie’s heart belongs to the world of show cattle and livestock judging. She’s hardworking, humble, and has already made her mark — placing top 10 at three different state livestock judging contests.When I asked her about her future, she didn’t hesitate:“Make a lot of money.” Simple, bold, and totally on-brand for a girl who knows what she wants.Her favorite color? Purple. Her favorite place? Oklahoma. Her favorite part of senior year? Probably not “going to school,” as she told me with a grin.
The Session That Felt Like Summer
As we rolled into family photos we ended it with her trusty pick up truck and her family. Every photo told a story: one of growth, grit, and that in-between moment where a girl becomes a woman ready to take on the world. When the last few rays of light slipped behind the day, I knew we’d captured something special — not just portraits, but pieces of a story she’ll look back on years from now.
