A Rainy, Adventurous Senior Session in Corning
Not all mornings start with cows as your audience, but hey, why not? We kicked off this senior session bright and early, with the sun barely up and a field full of curious cows as our backdrop. Talk about a rural photo op! The grass was still damp from the morning dew, but this senior's energy was anything but—ready to tackle the day with style, fun, and a whole lot of posing. After wrapping up in the cow field (where, thankfully, no cows photobombed ), we decided to switch gears and head into town. Our next stop? The coziest corner in Corning—the BackGround Coffee Shop. It was the perfect spot for a little caffeine boost, a few laughs, and some casual shots that perfectly captured this senior’s laid-back vibe. But just as we were settling into the perfect groove... cue the rain! If there's one thing I've learned as a photographer, it's that rain has two choices: ruin your day or make it more interesting. After a quick coffee break and a side of good ol' fashioned Iowa rain, we ventured back out into the drizzly streets. Mainstream Corning had never looked so shiny, with puddles reflecting everything like Mother Nature’s own Instagram filter. The post-rain glow gave the whole session a dreamy, cinematic feel. Through it all, this senior stayed unphased, ready for whatever came their way—whether it was dodging puddles or embracing the drizzle like a pro. With a love for reading, swimming, and riding four-wheelers, it’s no surprise she handled the day’s curveballs with grace and a little sass. This senior has big plans ahead: starting with SWCC for business administration and eventually heading off to NWMSU for a bachelor’s degree in business management. She is going to miss seeing her friends every day (and definitely NOT missing math class). As for underclassmen, her advice? Don’t sweat what people think—it won’t matter when you’re outta here. Spoken like someone who’s more than ready for the next chapter! Rain or shine, this senior session was a blast.
